Undefeated Army Mule, winner of the Grade 1 Carter Handicap, sired his first foal on Jan. 8, at Hill 'n' Dale Canada in King City, Ontario. The filly is out of the Speightstown mare Burke's Garden whose second dam is Broodmare of the Year Oatsee.

“The foal is very well made with a lot of substance,” said Hill 'n' Dale Canada president R. Glenn Sikura. “There's certainly much to like about her, especially for a first foal.”

The foal is owned by St Elias in partnership with Elevage.

Army Mule, a 6-year-old son of Friesan Fire, stands at Hill 'n' Dale Farms in Lexington, Ky., for an advertised fee of $10,000.
