Owned by Peter and Paul Snowden, Coolmore, and the China Horse Club, Pride of Dubai has been retired due to a recurrence of bruising to his hind fetlock, according to horseracing.com.au. The 4-year-old son of Street Cry is a multiple Group 1 winner in Australia, and will stand stud at Coolmore's Hunter Valley Stud.
Out of a daughter of Danehill, Pride of Dubai won both the Group 1 Blue Diamond Stakes and the Group 1 Sires Produce Stakes in his five-race career. He retires with just over $1.33 million in prize money ($940,000 US).
“He's going to make a gun stallion,” the China Horse Club said on Twitter. “Pride of Dubai has killer looks. We will support heavily in barn and sale ring.”
