Graded stakes-placed Vertiformer has been retired and will stand stud at Poplar Creek Horse Center in Bethel, Ohio next season for a fee of $2,000.
The stallion leaves the track with four wins from 16 starts, including the Grand Prix du Lion d'Angers in France and and a runner-up effort in the G2 Pan American. Vertiformer was bred in Kentucky by Joseph Allen, who maintained ownership. The horse was trained by Christophe Clement.
The son of Dynaformer is out of Tempo West, who is a half sister to Union Rags, making Vertiformer a half to G1 winner Declaration of War.
He will join a roster that includes David Copperfield and Twinspired, among others.
