Pretty City Dancer, a Gr. 1 Spinaway winner by Tapit and half-sister to Gr. 1 Gazelle winner Lear's Princess, will be offered at the Fasig-Tipton November Sale with Taylor Made agent. Pretty City Dancer is in foal to perennial leading sire Medaglia d'Oro. This offering represents the total package for breeders; looks, pedigree and performance. Pretty City Dancer was a $825,000 yearling in 2015 and the highest priced filly that year by Tapit. Pretty City Dancer hails from the direct female line of blue hen mare La Troienne.
Oxley is also selling Gr. 1 winner La Coronel at the Fasig-Tipton November auction. Winner of the prestigious Gr. 1 QEII at Keeneland, La Coronel is an earner of $838,393 in 17 career starts. Breaking her maiden at two in Saratoga La Coronel never looked back reeling off four graded stakes wins and four graded stakes placings with a trip to Royal Ascot during her tenure.
Mr. John Oxley, owner of the 2001 Kentucky Derby Winner Monarchos and Champion Beautiful Pleasure, has campaigned numerous top class horses. When asked about the decision to sell Pretty City Dancer and La Coronel Oxley was quoted saying, “I've had so much fun at the yearling auctions the past few years that I felt it was time to generate some revenue to reinvest in the yearling market. It was not an easy decision for me, but I am very excited about the future of our stable.”
