Following her fourth-place finish in the Breeders' Cup Filly & Mare Sprint this November, the Stonestreet-owned and bred Tara's Tango has been retired, according to the Daily Racing Form. The 4-year-old daughter of Unbridled's Song will join the Stonestreet broodmare band, and has been booked to Medaglia d'Oro for 2017.
Tara's Tango retires with a record of five wins from 14 starts, with earnings of over $800,000 under the care of trainer Jerry Hollendorfer.
The filly raced predominantly on the west coast; her major wins include the G1 Santa Margarita, the G2 Santa Maria, and the G3 Rancho Bernardo.
