Sidney's Candy, bred by Sidney and Jenny Craig, wins Fourstardave

Grade 1 stakes winner Sidney's Candy, who was sold and relocated to Argentina last year, has once more been sold and will now stand in Turkey, according to a report in the Daily Racing Form.

Sidney's Candy had been shuttling between WinStar Farm in Versailles, Ky., and Haras La Pasion in Argentina since his retirement to stud. In 2016, the 10-year-old stallion by Candy Ride was sold and remained in Argentina. He will leave in the coming weeks for Turkey.

In three crops of racing age, Sidney's Candy has sired 102 winners. His most successful runners have been Grade 3 winner Converge, stakes winners Forgive and Candy Exchange, and Grade 3-placed Sheeza Milky Way. He is also the sire of Pluja, a G2 winner in Argentina.

them and (South) Korea…also, coincidentally, both in nuclear danger from border neighbors

Another US stallion sold abroad, some useful second tier young sires like Tizway, ArchArchArch, now Sydney’s Candy. There have been about a dozen over the last year or two.

WinStar is among the corporations who are selling off future stars, for short term profit, there are others, I’m sure that you may be aware of and care to name.

Sad he was sold again but perhaps he will have much success in turkey and will infuse some new blood into their existing stock
