A two-year-old full sister to dual classic winner Minding is one of several racing-age fillies and broodmares recently acquired from Coolmore by a U.S. partnership consisting of Hill 'n' Dale Farms, Glen Hill Farm and Heider Family Stables.
According to an article in the Racing Post, John Sikura of Hill 'n' Dale and Craig Bernick of Glen Hill confirmed the deal, which includes How (Galileo x Lillie Langtry), a full sister to Minding. Other racing-age fillies that were acquired were the 3-year-olds Earring (Dansili x Together), who was second in the G2 Kilboy Estate Stakes, and Most Beautiful (Canford Cliffs x Saphira's Fire), winner of the G3 Grangecon Stud Stakes. The three fillies will be raced in the U.S.
“It's an exciting group,” Craig Bernick told the Racing Post. Bernick added that the trio has arrived at Fair Hill Training Center in Maryland and will be conditioned by Tom Proctor.
Neither Bernick nor Sikura would reveal how many horses were included in the deal, or the purchase price. Bernick credited Sikura and his connections with Coolmore for orchestrating the deal.
“We do plenty of business with Coolmore as well, we breed to their stallions and have done deals with them before, but it's John's relationship, and Scott Heider and I were happy to be part of it,” Bernick said.
