D W Fitz was bred in Kentucky by DW2 Equine, out of the stakes-winning Seattle Fitz mare Flirty Fitz.
Palace, a 10-year-old son of City Zip, stands at Spendthrift Farm in Lexington, Ky., for an advertised fee of $6,000.
He won 12 of 30 starts during his racing career, earning $1,586,550. His most notable victories include the Grade 1 Forego Stakes and Alfred G. Vanderbilt Handicap, the G2 True North Stakes, the G3 Fall Highweight Handicap, and the non-graded Hudson Handicap (twice) and Chowder's First Stakes.
Palace is out of the winning End Sweep mare Receivership, and he is a half-brother to stakes-placed Retriever.
