Multiple Grade 1-placed Straight Fire's first foal was born on Jan. 20, when the stakes-winning Gone Astray mare It's High Time had a colt at Legacy Ranch in Lodi, Calif.
Its High Time won two of 16 starts, all at Gulfstream Park, including the Florida Sire Desert Vixen Stakes. Grade 1 winner Black Seventeen is in the extended family.
Straight Fire, a 5-year-old son of Dominus, stands at Legacy Ranch for an advertised fee of $3,500. He never missed the board in four career starts, winning once, running second in the G1 Del Mar Futurity, and finishing third in the G1 FrontRunner Stakes.
Out of the winning A.P. Indy mare Tricky Indy, Straight Fire is a sibling to stakes-placed Magical Band, from the family of G3 winner Confide.
