The first foal sired by Grade 1 winner Funtastic: A filly out of the Elusive Quality mare Tenshi.

Three Chimneys announced today that Grade 1 winner Funtastic's first foal arrived Monday night at 11:30 p.m. at Nuckols Farm in Midway, Ky.

The filly is out of the Elusive Quality mare Tenshi, who is a half-sister to graded stakes winner Something Ventured. There are nearly 30 stakes performers within the first three dams.

“We are extremely excited about the arrival of Funtastic's first foal crop,” said Tom Hamm, director of stallion seasons at Three Chimneys Farm. “Funtastic himself is very good looking, and was a highly talented athlete by dominant sire More Than Ready. That, coupled with his regal pedigree, has all of us excited about the arrival of his first foals.”

By champion sire More than Ready, Funtastic was on the board seven times in 11 starts, including a Grade 1 victory in the United Nations Handicap at Monmouth Park. He is a half brother to Horse of the Year Saint Liam as well as to the dam of Horse of the Year Gun Runner.
