Spendthrift Farm's Liaison, the Grade 1-winning juvenile by Indian Charlie, sired his first reported foal on Tuesday, Jan. 6th when a bay filly was born in Micanopy, FL.
Bred and owned by Y-Lo Racing Stables, LLC, the filly is the first foal out of the six-time winning Eddington mare, Dakota Sis, who is a half-sister to three stakes winners. Dakota Sis hails from the multiple stakes-winning Bertrando mare, Fancy Prancer.
Liaison was a four-time stakes winner and two-time graded stakes winner of $767,288 on the track for owner Arnold Zetcher and Hall of Fame trainer Bob Baffert. He captured his biggest career victory in the CashCall Futurity (G1) at Hollywood Park as a 2-year-old, joining champion Uncle Mo as Indian Charlie's Grade 1-winning juveniles at stud.
Out of the multiple stakes-winning mare Galloping Gal, Liaison bred 115 mares in his first book in 2014, and he's set to stand his second season for a fee of $10,000 stands and nurses. Liaison will participate in Spendthrift's Breed Secure program in 2015.
