Globetrotting Grade 1 winner Just The Judge delivered her first foal earlier this week, a bay colt by Dubawi, at Britain's Tweenhills Stud.
Just The Judge, a 7-year-old mare by Lawman, captured the G1 Irish One Thousand Guineas in 2013 and took the G1 E.P. Taylor Stakes at Woodbine the following year. According to the Racing Post, Just The Judge was then consigned to the 2014 Tattersalls December Mares sale, where she was purchased for 4,500,000 guineas by the partnership of Qatar Racing and China Horse Club.
Just The Judge and her Dubawi foal are both reported to be doing well.
“She very generously foaled in the mid-morning when the vets and everyone else were present, which took some of the pressure off,” Qatar Racing's racing manager David Redvers told the Post.
“She foaled a strapping bay colt which was great news. I couldn't be happier really, he's a belter.”
Just The Judge is scheduled to be bred back to Dubawi this season.
