Fort Larned is relocating from Adena Springs Kentucky to Daryl and Sally Duncan's Duncan Farms in Ohio for the upcoming breeding season. A three-time Grade 1 winner and Eclipse Award finalist for America's Top Older Male in 2012, Fort Larned won the 2012 Breeders' Cup Classic (G1) and earned more than $4.4 million in a stellar racing career.
By the Mr. Prospector son and near millionaire E Dubai, 11-year-old Fort Larned is out of the Broad Brush mare Arlucea and is a half-brother to stakes winner Walkabout. His second dam is two-time champion and brilliant race mare Bayakoa (ARG).
In 2019, Fort Larned has 30 winners, led by his top earner and three-time winner Alpha to Omega. He is the sire of stakes-winning Blonde Bomber, third in the 2017 Breeders' Cup Juvenile Fillies (G1), from his first crop, and is represented this year by multiple Graded stakes-placed Sir Sahib, second in the Nijinsky S. (G2) and third in the Singspiel S. (G3) at Woodbine.
