The 2017 female sprinter of the year, Unique Bella was retired in August following the discovery of a sesamoid fracture after a morning workout at Del Mar. Trained by Jerry Hollendorfer, the 4-year-old daughter of Tapit counts wins in three Grade 1 races on her resume: the La Brea, Beholder Mile, and Clement Hirsch.
Out of the Breeders' Cup Ladies Classic winner Unrivaled Belle, Unique Bella retired with a record of nine wins and two seconds from 12 starts, and earnings of $1,272,400. She will enter her broodmare career at owner Don Alberto Stable's farm in Lexington.
