Grade 3 winner Calculator has been retired from racing and has entered stud at Breakway Farm in Dilsboro, Ind., BloodHorse reports.
The 8-year-old son of In Summation stands for an advertised fee of $1,500, available for select mares. He will stand as the property of Ledgerwood Farms and Breakway Farm.
Calculator finished his on-track career with five wins in 28 starts over six seasons of racing for earnings of $694,273. He raced for owner Richard Pell and trainer Peter Miller.
After finishing second in the Grade 1 Del Mar Futurity and FrontRunner Stakes as a 2-year-old, Calculator broke his maiden with a 4 1/2-length score in the G3 Sham Stakes in his sophomore season debut. He came back at four with in-the-money efforts in the G1 Carter Handicap and G2 San Carlos Stakes and Churchill Downs Stakes.
Calculator was moved between dirt and turf for the remainder of his career, notching a score in the listed Clocker's Corner Stakes and a third in the G3 Daytona Stakes on the grass, and picking up a main-track placing in the G2 Pat O'Brien Stakes.
Bred in Florida by Ocala Stud, Calculator is out of the unraced Alphabet Soup mare Back to Basics, whose runners also include stakes winner Arms Runner.
