Deirdre Biles of the Blood-Horse caught up with some of the principals of the Keeneland January sale to get their final impressions of last week's sale. Of course, there was one over-arching theme: it's a buyer's market out there.

Ben Walden, Pauls Mill: It feels precisely like it felt when I started Vinery in the fall of 85 and I started trying to put something together and build a business. If you find something with some merit and redeeming quality, you can go up there and buy it.

Frank Taylor, Taylor Made Sales: We're still in a clean-out phase so a lot of it is the bottom end of the market.
