The Triple Crown-winning duo of American Pharoah and Justify will once again headline the stallion roster at Coolmore's Ashford Stud in Versailles, Ky., for the 2020 breeding season.
Justify, the winner of the 2018 Triple Crown and that season's Horse of the Year, will stand for an advertised fee of $150,000. The price is unchanged from the son of Scat Daddy's debut season in 2019, when he met one of the strongest books of mares in North America.
American Pharoah, the 2015 Triple Crown winner and Horse of the Year, will have his fee announced at a later time. The son of Pioneerof the Nile is currently North America's leading first-crop sire by earnings, and winners, led by graded/group stakes winners Sweet Melania, and Maven. His debut crop also features stakes winner Another Miracle and Grade/Group 1-placed American Theorem and Monarch of Egypt.
Uncle Mo, a record-setting juvenile sire in recent years, will stand for $125,000, also unchanged from 2019. Once again, a juvenile leads the charge for Uncle Mo's runners this season: the Grade 1 winner and Breeders' Cup Juvenile Fillies hopeful Bast.
The consistent Munnings saw a slight increase to his stud fee in 2020, rising to $25,000 after standing the previous season for $20,000.
