The first foal for Grade 2 winner Airoforce arrived on Feb. 11, when the Flower Alley mare Blue Chicory had a colt at Swifty Farms in Seymour, Ind.
Blue Chicory won one of five starts racing in Kentucky and Louisiana. The family includes Grade 3 winner Golden Sonata and G1-placed stakes winner Street Girl.
“We are excited for the start of a new chapter for Airoforce,” said Jeff Jeans, the stallion's owner. “The foal's a nice looking colt, good bone, well put together. We're very happy.”
Airoforce will stand the 2019 breeding season at Cabin Creek Farm in Bernville, Penn., for an advertised fee of $2,500. He began his stallion career at Swifty Farms.
A 6-year-old son of Colonel John, Airoforce won three of 12 starts for earnings of $679,130, highlighted by victories in the Grade 2 Kentucky Jockey Club Stakes and G3 Bourbon Stakes. He also finished second in the 2015 Breeders' Cup Juvenile Turf at Keeneland.
Airoforce is out of the stakes-placed Cuvee mare Chocolate Pop, from the family of champions Caressing and West Coast, and G1 winner Sea Cadet.
