Money Multiplier (Lookin at Lucky) and jockey Javier Castellano win the Monmouth Stakes (Gr II) at Monmouth Park 7/30/17.

The weekend after the Breeders' Cup World Championships, graded stakes action across the country will still offer several competitive wagering opportunities for horseplayers.

In Aqueduct's G3 Red Smith Handicap on Saturday, a field of 12 entrants will contest 1 3/8 miles on the turf. Chad Brown-trained Money Multiplier headlines the group, with stablemate Call Provision and Jimmy Toner-trained Hunter O'Riley the next-lowest odds on the morning line. Main track-only entrant Turco Bravo has a very good shot if the race comes off the grass. Oscar Nominated, most recently second in the G1 Canadian International, may offer some value while listed at 8-1 on the morning line.

In Del Mar's seven-furlong G3 Bob Hope Stakes, a field of six juveniles will line up on Saturday afternoon. Multiple stakes winner Run Away leads the field over the Bob Baffert-trained Mourinho (Super Saver), who was most recently second in his first stakes try. The colt who finished in front of Mourinho that day is also in the field; Florida-bred Beautiful Shot is listed at 5-2 on the morning line.

At Churchill Downs, the G3 Commonwealth Turf features Brad Cox trainee Mr. Misunderstood. Wilkes trainees Giant Payday and Mr Cub rate a chance, as does the Roger Attfield-trained Tiz A Slam in the field of eight.

Also on Saturday are a series of Sunshine Millions preview stakes at Gulfstream Park West, as well as four relatively competitive stakes races at Laurel Park.

On Sunday at Woodbine, the G2 Autumn Stakes offers a field of five on the all-weather surface over 1 1/16 miles. Melmich is slightly favored over Gigantic Breeze on the morning line.
