The 20-cent Rainbow 6 was solved at Gulfstream Park West Thursday when a single ticket with six winners returned a $52,137.54 jackpot payoff.
The Rainbow 6 carryover jackpot is paid out only when there is a single unique ticket sold with all six winners. On days when there is no unique ticket sold, 70 percent of that day's pool goes back to those betters holding tickets with the most winners while 30 percent is carried over to the jackpot pool.
The popular multi-race wager had gone unsolved since a lucky single ticketholder cashed for a $177,521 jackpot.
The Rainbow 6 will begin anew Friday with a six-race sequence that will span Races 5-10.
