Santa Anita Pick 6 Jackpot Continues To Build; $1.1 Million On Sunday

For the 28th consecutive racing day, Santa Anita's popular 20 cent Single Ticket Rainbow Pick 6 Jackpot remained untouchable on Saturday, resulting in a massive Jackpot carryover of $1,104,202 into Sunday.

With $240,135 in “new” money wagered contributing to a total Jackpot pool today of $1,289,357, there were 94 consolation tickets with six wins, each worth $1,372.

First post time for a nine-race card on Sunday is at 1 p.m. and the $75,000 Desert Code Stakes, for 3-year-olds at five furlongs on turf, has been carded as race six and will serve as the day's headliner. Owned by Hronis Racing, LLC, and trained by John Sadler, Ginger Nut, a well-accomplished Irish-bred filly, will be taking on five male rivals.

Approximate post time for Sunday's fourth race, the beginning of the Rainbow Six, is at 2:31 p.m. PT
