There will be a special early first post time tomorrow, Santa Anita Handicap Day, of 12 noon as The Great Race Place will present a blockbuster 11-race program, highlighted by the 81st running of the Grade I Santa Anita Handicap, the Grade II San Felipe Stakes, the Grade I Frank E. Kilroe Mile and the Grade I Triple Bend Stakes.
Beginning this Sunday, March 11 and continuing on all Sundays at the current Winter/Spring Meet through June 24, Santa Anita will have “Sunday Brunch” early first post time of 11:30 a.m. As this Sunday is also the first day of Daylights Savings Time, fans are reminded to “spring forward” and turn their clocks forward by one hour Saturday night.
Simulcast wagering on tracks from across North America is offered each Wednesday at Santa Anita with free parking and admission. Santa Anita's admission gates will open at 10 a.m. on Wednesdays, as well as on most all live racing days.
Following this weekend, live racing will resume on Thursday, March 15 and first post time will then shift to 12 noon on all racing days, except Sundays and Triple Crown Saturdays (May 5, May 19 & June 9).
