With a nine-race card on tap, there is a Pick 6 carryover of $65,924 into Saturday at Santa Anita. With Saturday's Pick 6 field size at nine horses per race, track officials project Saturday's total Pick 6 pool could approach $500,000.
In addition to the conventional carryover, there is a Single Ticket Jackpot carryover of $311,541 heading into Saturday.
The Grade III, $100,000 Lazaro Barrera Stakes, for 3-year-olds at seven furlongs, has been carded as the fifth race. Jerry Hollendorfer's Kanthaka, who will be ridden by Flavien Prat, has been installed as the 9-5 morning line favorite.
Saturday's co-feature is the $75,000 Angels Flight Stakes. Slotted as race eight, it looms as the best betting race on the card and is for 3-year-old fillies at seven furlongs. Two-time Grade I winner Moonshine Memories, who is trained by Simon Callaghan and will be ridden by Prat, is the 5-2 morning line favorite with Prat up.
