Rainbow 6 Unsolved Again Thursday, Carryover Now At $1.2 Million

The 20-cent Rainbow 6 carryover jackpot continued to build to life-changing proportions at Gulfstream Park Thursday, when the popular multi-race wager went unsolved for the 38th consecutive day.

The Rainbow 6 carryover jackpot will stand at $1,294,231.38 for Friday's 2:15 p.m. twilight program.

Multiple tickets with five of six winners were each worth $1,646.88.

The carryover jackpot is only paid out when there is a single unique ticket sold with all six winners. On days when there is no unique ticket, 70 percent of that day's pool goes back to those bettors holding tickets with the most winners, while 30 percent is carried over to the jackpot pool.

Friday's Rainbow 6 sequence will span Races 4-9, including a stakes-quality optional claiming allowance in Race 9. The six-furlong sprint will be contested by Quijote, the 2018 Sunshine Millions Sprint winner who will make his second start off a layoff; Three Rules, the 2016 Florida Sire Stakes champion who is set to return off a four-month layoff; Harryhee, a hardy-hitting stakes winner who is coming off an optional claiming allowance win; and six others.

The Rainbow 6 was last solved July 6, when one lucky bettor hit for a $173,583.90 jackpot payoff.

The carryover jackpot stood at $1,262,470 at the start of Rainbow 6 wagering Thursday when a total of $132,377 was bet into the multi-race pool.

There were no tickets with all five winners of Thursday's Late Pick 5, producing a carryover of $32,181 for Friday. The Late Pick 5 will span Races 5-9.

There will also be a Super Hi-5 carryover of $1,124.52 heading into Friday's card.
