by | 01.05.2016 | 2:11pm

Due to freezing temperatures and a review of track conditions, Portland Meadows has cancelled live racing for Tuesday, Jan. 5.

The facility will be open for simulcast wagering.

“Near freezing temperatures has resulted in an inconsistent thawing of the base and the decision has been taken to cancel today's program,” said Karsten Hennze of Portland Meadows.

Racing will resume Monday, Jan. 11 with a $100,000 Rainbow 6 guarantee.
