This Saturday, September 15, the Meadowlands is hosting a live-money National Horseplayers Championship qualifying event with two seats up for grabs to the $2.9 million NHC Final in Las Vegas to be held February 8-10, 2019.
The Meadowlands qualifier has a $400 total fee – $200 goes toward the prize pool, estimated at $20,000 and $200 is used as contest bankroll. All entry fees will be added to the prize pool, creating the rare zero percent takeout contest format. Entry also includes a Daily Racing Program and food vouchers.
Contestants must wager on a minimum of 10 races from Belmont, Gulfstream, and/or Churchill Downs. Wagers can be win, place or show or any combination WPS on one horse per race.
Walk-up entries are accepted on the day of the contest. Multiple entries per person are allowed. Contestants must be members of the NHC Tour to qualify for one of the two NHC Final seats. The NHC Tour membership fee of $50 must be paid prior to participating in the Meadowlands qualifier.
For more information, visit the contest home page or contact Tournament Director Rachel Ryan at [email protected] or (201) 842–5015.
