The New York Racing Association has officially cancelled races 10 and 11 from Saturday's card at Saratoga, according to Twitter postings. The two stakes races, the Fasig-Tipton Waya and the Fasig-Tipton Lure, were scheduled to be run on the turf course.
Saratoga's turf was listed as yielding for yesterday's card, and the condition of the course is the reason for the race cancellation. Both races will be brought back next weekend.
In addition, races 1, 3 and 4 are also being taken off the turf course. Race 5, the Fasig-Tipton De La Rose Stakes, will remain on the turf as scheduled.
