With no winning ticket in Friday's Stronach 5, the popular wager with an industry-low 12-percent takeout will have a carryover of $96,906.44 on Friday, Sept. 13.

The carryover occurred when the 60-1 longshot Channeledslongshot won Gulfstream Park's ninth race and the final leg of the Stronach 5 sequence and returned $141.40.

The sequence kicked off with Stroll Smokin ($11.20) winning Laurel Park's eighth race. The entry of Midship Lady/More Or Less ($4.40) won the fourth leg at Laurel.

Friday's races and sequence

· Leg One: Laurel Park 8th Race – Stroll Smokin $11.20

· Leg Two: Gulfstream Park 7th Race – Cash Call Kitten $8

· Leg Three: Golden Gate Fields 4th Race – Big Maria $9

· Leg Four: Laurel Park 9th Race –Midship Lady/More Or Less $4.40

· Leg Five: Gulfstream Park 9th Race – Channeledslongshot $141.40

The minimum wager on the multi-race, multi-track Stronach 5 is $1. If there are no tickets with five winners, the entire pool will be carried over to the next Friday.

If a change in racing surface is made after the wagering closes, each selection on any ticket will be considered a winning selection. If a betting interest is scratched, that selection will be substituted with the favorite in the win pool when wagering closes.

The Maryland Jockey Club serves as host of the Stronach 5.
