HRTV On-Site For Weekend Stakes At Laurel

HRTV (R), The Network for Horse Sports, will offer on-site coverage for the big weekend of holiday stakes racing from Laurel Park, beginning on Saturday, Feb. 14, and continuing on Monday, Feb. 16, President's Day.

The action will also be available via HRTV.com.

The network's Caton Bredar will take a brief hiatus from her winter outpost at Gulfstream to handle the on-track coverage for Laurel's Winter Carnival and SprintFest Weekend, which features two graded events — the Grade 2, $300,000 Barbara Fritchie on Saturday and the Grade 3, $250,000 General George on Monday.  The undercards each day will include additional stakes races.

Both the Fritchie and General George are seven-furlong events that annually serve as key sprint races during the winter season.

(In Bredar's absence, Gulfstream's Christina Bossinakis will report for HRTV from Hallandale.)
