And the 20-cent Rainbow 6 continues to grow at Gulfstream Park.
The popular wager will have a carryover of $699,552.72 Friday after there was no single winning ticket Thursday afternoon. Multiple tickets with six winners returned $635.80.
Friday's Rainbow 6 will begin with the sixth race, a maiden claiming event at 5 ½ furlongs that drew a field of nine. The sequence will also include three races scheduled over the turf and a field of eight 2-year-olds going 4 ½ furlongs.
The carryover jackpot is only paid out when there is a single unique ticket sold with all six winners. On days when there is no unique ticket, 70 percent of that day's pool goes back to those bettors holding tickets with the most winners, while 30 percent is carried over to the jackpot pool.
