In order to accommodate a 14-race Closing Day card, Fair Grounds Race Course & Slots has changed first post for Sunday, March 27, to 12:30 p.m. CDT.
The card is stocked with large fields and includes two maiden special weight events, three allowance optional claiming contests and a starter optional claiming race. Nine of the 14 races are carded for the turf course.
In addition, all wagering pools must be paid out on Closing Day including the 50-cent Black Gold 5 which will begin on race ten.
