While the Charles Town 6-12 is set for a mandatory payout on Charles Town Classic day this Saturday, April 20, horseplayers will have two final opportunities to be the lone winner and take down the entire carryover that currently stands at more than $165,000. The Charles Town 6-12 is a jackpot style Pick 6 with a low 12-percent takeout and 20-cent base wager that covers the final six races on the Charles Town card and gets underway in Race 3 on Thursday night. Post time for the start of the Charles Town 6-12 is scheduled for approximately 8:02 P.M. EST.
Should there be no unique winner of the Charles Town 6-12 on Thursday or Friday evenings, the entire carryover and whatever is wagered into the pool on Saturday's live card will be paid out as a single-price pool to those connecting on the most winners in the sequence. Due to the six-figure carryover and low takeout, the last mandatory payout of the Charles Town 6-12 occurred on December 29, 2018 and resulted in 13-percent more than the gross pool being paid out to bettors.
Post time for the first race on Charles Town Classic day is 12:30 P.M. EST with the Pick 6 sequence kicking off in Race 8.
Additionally, Charles Town will offer a $100,000 guaranteed, all-stakes Pick 4 on the Charles Town Classic card that carries a 15-percent takeout and begins with Race 9.
