With 20-1 longshot Pure Perfection finishing on top in Friday's eighth race, the final two legs in Santa Anita's popular Pick 6 were, for most all intents and purposes, rendered irrelevant, as the die was cast for a hefty two-day Pick 6 carryover into Saturday of $230,886.With a 10-race card on tap Saturday and average field size in the Pick 6 just under 10 runners per race, track officials project Saturday's total Pick 6 pool should approach $1 million.
With a carryover from Sunday of $99,008 to shoot at, players wagered $246,857 in “new money” Friday, creating a total Pick 6 pool of $345,865.
First post time at Santa Anita on Saturday is at 1 p.m.Approximate post time for leg one in the Pick 6, race five, is at 3:03 p.m. PT.Admission gates will open at 11 a.m.
