Three scientists with specialties in large animal medicine will be inducted into the University of Kentucky Gluck Equine Research Foundation Hall of Fame during a ceremony scheduled for October 25th at the Hilary J. Boone Center on UK's campus.
The inductees include:
Norm Ducharme, James Law Professor of Surgery and staff surgeon at Cornell University Hospital for Animals and a specialist at the Ruffian Equine Hospital
Sue Dyson, head of Clinical Orthopedics in Animal Health Trust's Center for Equine Studies in the United Kingdom
Susan Stover, professor of anatomy, physiology and cell biology at the University of California, Davis
All three inductees' research focused on equine athletic performance and, according to David Horohov, chair of the Department of Veterinary Science and Director of the Gluck Equine Research Center, each scientist has contributed to increased awareness in the needs of equine athletes.
