Veterinary technicians play a key role in the world of equine healthcare, especially in the case of emergencies or specialized care. For the third year in a row, Boehringer Ingelheim (BI), EquiManagement magazine and the American Association of Equine Veterinary Technicians and Assistants (AAEVT) are currently accepting nominations for their Champions of the Cause Award. Deadline for entries is July 14.
Criteria for the award nominees include the candidate's passion for equine health, commitment to furthering their knowledge of equine well-being and dedication to shaping the future of equine health.
To qualify for consideration, nominated veterinary technicians and assistants must have a minimum of two years of experience in the field of equine health. Nominations must come from a licensed veterinarian.
Two winners of the Champions of the Cause award will be named and will receive an all-expense-paid trip to the AAEVT Conference during this year's American Association of Equine Practitioners (AAEP) Annual Convention & Trade Show, which will be held in San Antonio, Texas on November 17-21 and will be featured in the winter edition of EquiManagement. In addition, each veterinarian who nominates a winning candidate will receive a $1,000 cash prize.
