UK Veterinarians Assisting In Coronavirus Crisis

Veterinarians and the manufacturers of veterinary equipment are offing their assistance in procuring ventilators to the U.K. government. Prime Minister Boris Johnson is asking for help in acquiring ventilators in an attempt to limit deaths from the coronavirus.

Though industry representatives are skeptical about the plan, the Animal Health Trust, along with other vet referral centers and the Royal College of Veterinary Surgeons, have begun talks with the Royal College of Emergency Medicine.

It is estimated that Britain has about 5,000 ventilators, but more will be needed.
