The University of Florida's College of Veterinary Medicine Is back to business as usual this week, although many of its employees are still dealing with power, cell, and internet outages at home, thanks to Hurricane Irma.

Sarah Carey, Director of Communications for the College, said both the college and University of Florida's Veterinary Hospitals resumed normal hours for patients on Wednesday (although the hospitals remained open for emergencies throughout the storm). Classes are scheduled to resume at the college on Thursday.

“Aside from some small tree debris down, which has been resolved, everything is OK at the college and at our Small and Large Animal Hospitals,” said Carey. “All in all, Gainesville was very lucky. We know what others are going through, so aren't complaining.”

Gulfstream Park and associated facilities in South Florida have resumed training and has carded races for Saturday.
