France Galop announced Monday an outbreak of equine flu in an area that's part of the Chantilly training center.
The organization has not released the trainer's identity nor the number of horses that might be affected. Since an equine flu outbreak in Britain led to the shutdown of British racing for almost a week, France continued to allow in racehorses from other European countries, including Britain.
France Galop instituted new biosecurity measures, and until now, only one case in France had been identified.
