British Vet Clinic Makes ‘Bricks’ From Unwanted Plastic

White Cross Vets Liverpool – Gateacre is recycling the plethora of non-recyclable plastic used in their clinic by creating environmentally friendly “Ecobricks.” These bricks are made by stuffing plastic bottles with soft plastic, wires, small batteries, Styrofoam and other non-biologic things that are not recyclable.

The bricks are then used to make small garden spaces, walls, shelving and modular furniture; the bricks can be attached to one another using cement, silicone and other materials.

Everything from syringe packets to the back of printed labels to delivery bags are being reused instead of being tossed in the trashcan. The Ecobrick movement is spreading around the world, helping people eliminate their plastic waste.
