PR Special Fasig-Tipton Midlantic Sale: The Original ‘Distracted’ Kentucky Derby DQ’d Horse

by | 05.19.2019 | 10:25pm

The controversy over this year's Kentucky Derby disqualification refuses to die, even after the running of the second leg of the Triple Crown.

In this edition of the PR Special, available here and on the sales grounds of the Fasig-Tipton Midlantic 2-Year-Olds in Training Sale in Maryland, Joe Nevills tells us the story behind the only other on-track DQ in Derby history, Gate Dancer, who was moved from fourth to fifth in the 1984 running of the race.

The Stallion Spotlight zooms in on Maryland stallion Golden Lad, while the Honor Roll gives a nod to F-T Midlantic graduate Concrete Rose. Ask Your Insurer inquires about racehorse owners liability insurance and learn about white hooves in Ask Your Veterinarian.

Plus, of course, in Ten To Watch, some hip numbers to pay close attention to in this week's sale.
