No fewer than 20 horses pre-entered in the two-day Breeders' Cup world championships Nov. 2-3 had timed workouts at Churchill Downs in Louisville, Ky., on Sunday morning, with several leading contenders working in company.
Among those who had their final serious preps was Kentucky Oaks winner Monomoy Girl, working under jockey Florent Geroux for trainer Brad Cox. Multiple Grade 1-winning sprinter Imperial Hint also worked in company – though it wasn't planned as the Sprint contender hooked up with a 2-year-old Juvenile starter in Bill Mott's barn.
Today's Breeders' Cup News Minute also serves as a reminder that post positions for all Breeders' Cup races will be held in downtown Louisville on the Equestricon main stage Monday at 4 p.m. ET.
