The Paulick Report is pleased to bring back a popular photo/video feature that will run every other week and will spotlight stallions standing in Kentucky.
The series, put together by our friends at EquiSport Photos, will feature stallions that are either just entering stud in 2017, or stallions that have not yet had their first crop reach the racetrack.
Tourist made his racecourse debut as a 2-year-old, making three starts in New York in the late fall for trainer Bill Mott. As one could expect with a son of Tiznow, he really began to develop the following season at age three, winning three of six starts including the Sir Cat Stakes at Saratoga. Tourist was also a strong second in the G1 Secretariat Stakes at Arlington.
After an abbreviated 4-year-old season, Tourist returned at age five, blossoming into one of the top turf horses in the country. After in-the-money finishes in both the G1 Maker's 46 Mile and G1 Shoemaker Mile, Tourist notched a well-deserved win in the G1 Fourstardave. He capped off a banner season with a victory over champion Tepin in the G1 Breeders' Cup Mile.
We hope you enjoy our new feature, and we would once again like to thank our friends at EquiSport Photos for the great video.
