The Paulick Report is pleased to bring back a new photo/video feature that will run every other week and will spotlight stallions standing in Kentucky.
The series, put together by our friends at EquiSport Photos, will feature stallions have either just entered stud in 2016, or stallions that have not yet had their first crop reach the racetrack.
This week's spotlight stallion is Declaration of War, a 7-year-old son of War Front that stands at Coolmore's Ashford Stud. Declaration of War's first crop are yearlings of 2016.
Declaration of War began his career in France, where he was undefeated in two career starts. He was then transferred to trainer Aidan O'Brien in Ireland after Coolmore bought an interest in the colt from owner-breeder Joseph Allen.
Declaration of War won two out of three starts at age three, including the G3 Diamond Stakes. It was at age four when he began to shine, however. Declaration of War captured both the G1 Queen Anne Stakes and G1 Juddmonte International, and was second in the G1 Coral-Eclipse. In his final career start, Declaration of War finished third, beaten just a short neck, in the G1 Breeders' Cup Classic.
Declaration of War entered stud in 2014 at Coolmore in Ireland; he was transferred to Ashford Stud in 2015. His first crop are yearlings.
We hope you enjoy our new feature, and we would once again like to thank our friends at EquiSport Photos for the great video.
