The Paulick Report is excited to have photographer Eric Kalet back in Baltimore this year to share his unique perspective on Preakness week.
Each day, we'll see through Eric's eyes the preparations, festivities, and important moments leading up to the Black-Eyed Susan and Preakness, and of course, the races themselves.
The Preakness contenders were dealt a soggy hand on Saturday at Pimlico, with rain soaking the surface for most of the day. The track was labeled sloppy by the time the 3-year-old contenders approached the paddock, and at the end of the race it was that king of the slop Exaggerator coming home on top.
Enjoy these photos from Preakness Day, and we look forward to catching up with Eric again at the Belmont!
