Horse-Canada.com's Thoroughblog offers up a list of top ten “anticipated things” for Canadian racing in the New Year.

Included in the list is the launch of Frank Stronach's Horse Exchange, reported on this week here at Paulick Report.

Other much-anticipated items include the resolution of the Lasix debate, a stepped-up Canadian breeding business, and the return of a stellar jockey colony that includes Luis Contreras, Eurico Rosa Da Silva, Emma-Jayne Wilson and Patrick Husbands. And last but not least, a hope for safe and sound horses:

“Let's get the number of injuries and breakdowns to the bare minimum. Let's cherish our equine athletes in 2012.”
