NBC's broadcast of the Belmont Stakes had a final national rating of 4.5, with a share of 11. This was down slightly from 2012, according to an article at the Daily Racing Form.
In 2012, the national rating was a 4.8 with an 11 share, according to NBC, which translated to 7.7 million viewers. Viewership for this year's broadcast, which ran from 5 to 7 p.m. Eastern, was 7.0 million, NBC said.
Overall, viewership for the three Triple Crown races was up seven percent.
