Dullahan breezes one mile at Churchill Downs
Trainer Dale Romans had originally planned on running Kentucky Derby third-place finisher Dullahan in last Saturday’s Preakness Stakes, but was overruled by the colt’s majority owner, Jerry Crawford.
Romans is now glad that they did bypass the Preakness, since they will have a fresh runner for the 12-furlong classic on June 9.
On Saturday, the chestnut son of Even the Score continued his preparation for the Belmont, working eight furlongs in 1:43.
