Trainer Wesley Ward, who won five of the six juvenile races at Keeneland’s spring meet, is considering sending his 2-year-old stars to Royal Ascot. Ward won five of the six featured “baby races” this month with Sweet Emma Rose, No Nay Never, Hollywood Talent, Mary At the Cove, and Pablo Del Monte. No Nay Never may point toward the Norfolk Stakes (Group II), while Sweet Emma Rose could head to the Queen Mary Stakes.

Ward credits Keeneland’s Polytrack with his success with young racehorses this past meet.

“Something about this track and running these babies, it just seems like the light goes on and they realize what they’re on the planet for,” Ward told The Blood-Horse. “They really get a good start to the career.”
