Turbo Compressor took the lead at the start under Joe Bravo and was never seriously threatened en route to a 1 1/4-length victory in the $500,000 Colonial Turf Cup at Colonial Downs on Saturday night. The son of Halo’s Image out of Dixieland Event, by Wild Event, races for P and G Stable and Off the Hook LLC and is trained by Todd Pletcher. He was a $22,000 graduate of the OBS OBS April 2-year-olds in training sale in 2010.

The 4-year-old ridgling, bred in Florida by Bridlewood Farm, was winning for the sixth time in 13 career starts. Air Support rallied for second, with Rahystrada third.

Turbo Compressor set easy fractions of 24.34, :49.78, 1:14.35 and 1:37.64 en route to a final clocking of 1:55.15 for 1 3/16 miles on firm turf. He paid $7 to win.
