My Miss Aurelia wins Adirondack

Undefeated juvenile filly champion My Miss Aurelia, breezed for the first time since returning to trainer Steve Asmussen’s barn, going an easy three furlongs in 39.20 on Friday.

The 3-year-old daugher of Smart Strike has been sidelined with a shin injury since shortly after winning the Grey Goose Breeders’ Cup Juvenile Fillies (gr. I) last November.

“We don’t have any agenda with her right now, other than to get her back into top shape and ready to run,” said Asmussen.
